[001] The invention relates to shaving or shaving appliance cables that are releasably connected to shaving or shaving cartridges and shaving or shaving appliances that include such cables.
[002] More particularly, the invention relates to a shaving or shaving appliance handle comprising: - an elongated handle body terminating on a flexible fork for reliably receiving and retaining a shaving or shaving cartridge, - a sliding element that cooperates with said fork and is connected to the cable body, the sliding element being movable in relation to the cable body between a resting position, in which the fork can reliably hold a cartridge shaving or shaving received at the fork and a release position, in which the fork is flexed and can receive a shaving or shaving cartridge or releasing a shaving or waxing cartridge received at the fork, and - an elastic element for returning said shaving element slide from the release position to the resting position.
[003] Such a shaving or shaving appliance cable allows a shaving or shaving cartridge connected to it to be retained when in use and allows it to be released after use. After one or several uses, the user can replace the shaving or epilating cartridge, while maintaining the appliance handle for shaving or epilating for reuse. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[004] A shaving or shaving apparatus disclosed, for example, in document No. WO2010037418, comprises a handle with a flexible fork. The handle is provided with a button that is adapted to bring the fork arms closer together. A cartridge is normally retained by housing bearings, provided at the end of the arms. When the cartridge needs to be removed, the button is moved forward in one direction of the cartridge. The fork arms are brought together by the action of the button, while at the same time the button pushes the cartridge in the opposite direction to the housing bearings. The cartridge is removed accordingly and can be replaced.
[005] The cable, as disclosed in document No. WO2010037418, is a one-piece plastic cable with a button. However, for several reasons, it may be desirable to manufacture the cable in multiple pieces. Such multiple pieces must then be prevented from disassembling when a force is applied to the handle, for example, when the shaver or epilator is dropped or otherwise exposed to an impact, while at the same time it needs to allow assembly easy of all parts. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[006] For that purpose, according to the invention, a cable for a shaving or shaving device is provided which comprises: - a front portion which is adapted to receive a removable shaving or shaving cartridge, - a top and a bottom, the top and bottom being assembled together, - a button positioned on the front of the handle, the button being movable in a first direction and adapted to facilitate the removal of the shaving or shaving cartridge, in that the upper part of the cable comprises a slot that extends longitudinally in said first direction, said slot having two longitudinal edges that form a pair of opposite rails, wherein the button comprises at least one pair of opposing flexible hooks that are press-fit with the longitudinal slit rails and retain the button on the cable, said flexible hooks being slidable on said rails, where the lower part of the cable comprises a contiguous member u which is engaged with the flexible hooks and is elongated in said first direction, said contiguous member being adapted to prevent the flexible hooks from disengaging from the slit rails.
[007] In some embodiments, an individual can use one or more of the following features: - in which the upper part of the cable and the lower part of the cable are assembled together by means of a pressure fitting; - the button is slidable; - the button comprises a front portion adjacent to the cartridge and a rear portion where the button is adapted to remove the cartridge when the button is moved; - the flexible hooks are provided in the form of outward-facing hooks and the contiguous member is positioned between the flexible hooks to prevent them from being approached; - the slot comprises a stop projection that protrudes into the slot, the stop projection being adapted to prevent the flexible hooks from being approached; - the button comprises a front portion adjacent to the cartridge and a rear portion, the button is slidable and adapted to remove the cartridge when the button is slid forward, the flexible hooks are positioned on the rear portion of the button and the contiguous member engages the hooks flexible when the button is slid forward, while the stop projection engages the flexible hooks when the button is not slid forward; - the front portion of the upper part of the cable comprises a receptacle, the front portion of the lower part of the cable is terminated on a hook, adapted to engage the receptacle and the rear portions of the upper and lower parts of the cable are provided with means of engagement by pressure; - the contiguous member is positioned adjacent to the hook; - the cable is adapted to accommodate a pivoting cartridge, the cable additionally comprising a plunger adapted to return the cartridge to a rest position when pivoted; - each pair of retaining members forms a space between the retaining members to accommodate the plunger. - the button additionally comprises a track adapted to provide orientation for the plunger; - the button is provided with a spring, the spring being adapted to provide a return force for the button when the button is slid forward; - the plunger is provided with the spring and the spring provides a return force for both the button and the plunger.
[008] In another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of making a handle for shaving or shaving; the method comprises the steps of: - providing a button, the button comprising at least a pair of opposing flexible hooks, - providing an upper part of the cable, the upper part of the cable comprising a slit that extends longitudinally in a sliding direction, said slit having two longitudinal edges that form a pair of opposite rails, - providing a lower part of the cable, the lower part of which comprises a contiguous member, - snapping on the flexible hooks provided in the button respectively to the slit rails in the upper part of the cable, so that the button is slidable in said sliding direction, - attach the lower part of the cable to the upper part of the cable to form the cable and simultaneously engage the flexible hooks to the contiguous member from the bottom of the cable, so that said contiguous member prohibits the disengagement of the hooks from the slit rails.
[009] The upper part of the cable may additionally comprise a stop projection projecting into the slot, the method may additionally comprise steps of supplying a spring and assembling the button and the spring, in which during said fitting step said hooks are snap-fit in a position offset from said stop projection, wherein the method additionally comprises, between the snap-in step of the flexible hooks in the snap-in step of the bottom of the cable, a step of hooking the flexible hooks to the stop projection, in which said spring tilts the button to a rest position in which said stop projection is between said hooks and prohibits the hooking of the slit rail hooks and in which, in the step of pressing the lower part of the cable, said contiguous member of the lower part of the cable is positioned in alignment with said projection of the stop in the sliding direction.
[010] With these features, the appliance cable for shaving or shaving is not easily disassembled, in particular, in a situation when a force is applied to the cable (when the cable is exposed to impact, dropped, etc.). In particular, it is less likely that the button will be disassembled and / or damaged when force is applied to the cable. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[014] Figures 1A, 1B and 2 show an overview of an embodiment of the present invention. The appliance for shaving or shaving according to this example comprises a handle 1 and a cartridge 2.
[015] Cable 1 comprises a cartridge receiving region positioned at the front portion 6A, 8A of cable 1. Cartridge 2 can be any cartridge known in the art. The cartridge 2 can comprise one or more blades. The blades (not shown in detail) have sharp edges that are elongated in one direction; the blades are positioned parallel to each other in cartridge 2. The position of the blades defines a shaving or shaving direction, as well as a blade direction that is perpendicular to the shaving or shaving direction.
[016] The cartridge 2 is preferably hingedly mounted on the cable 1. For this purpose, the cartridge 2 and the cable 1 can be provided with any known means of articulation. In the example in Figures, cable 1 is provided with a pair of housing bearings 602A, positioned at the end of the arms 602. Housing bearings 602A cooperate with corresponding features provided in cartridge 2 and ensure that cartridge 2 can move in a way articulated in relation to cable 1 when subjected to shaving or waxing forces. However, other means of articulation can be used, such as pins and corresponding or similar holes.
[017] To guarantee the return of the cartridge 2 to its resting position after being pivoted, the cable 1 can be provided with tilt means. In the example described below, cable 1 is provided with a plunger 4 that serves as a means of inclination; the plunger is shown in Figure 2. However, other means of inclination can be used, such as elastic tongue, spring bundle, latch or the like.
[018] The plunger 4 is powered by a spring element. The spring element can be, for example, a spiral spring 5.
[019] In the example shown in the Figures, the plunger 4 is provided in the form of an elongated body. The elongated body may have a prism shape, for example, the elongated body has a cuboid shape and comprises four elongated walls, as seen in the Figures. The plunger 4 can also take any suitable shape, such as a cylinder. The plunger 4 additionally comprises at least one guide protrusion 42. The guide protrusion 42 preferably projects outwardly from the elongated outer wall of the plunger 4. Preferably, there are at least two projections of orientation 42. Preferably, the projections of orientation 42 are positioned on two opposite sides of the plunger 4. The orientation projections 42 are adapted to cooperate with corresponding features provided in the front portion 6A of the upper part of the cable 6; projections 42 can also be adapted to cooperate with corresponding resources provided in button 3. This will be described below.
[020] As shown in Figure 2, the portion of the plunger 4 that is oriented towards the cable 1 and in the opposite direction to the cartridge 2 can comprise a hole 43, into which the spiral spring 5 can be inserted. Hole 43 then guides the spiral spring 5, protects it and helps to ensure that the spiral spring 5 is not overloaded or deformed in the wrong direction. This, in turn, helps to prevent displacement of the plunger 4. Preferably, hole 43 extends through at least half the length of the plunger 4.
[021] Cable 1 is preferably shaped to allow the user to grip cable 1 comfortably, as can be seen in Figures 1A and 1B. The handle 1 can be elongated along a geometric axis generally perpendicular to the blade edges; the cable 1 thus defines a longitudinal geometric axis of the appliance for shaving or shaving. Cable 1 can be straight or curved, for example, in an S or U shape in general. The handle 1 may additionally comprise several convex and / or concave portions for inserting the user's finger and thereby improving the grip.
[022] Cable 1 can be made of plastic. The cable 1 preferably comprises at least one grip area 601, 801. The grip areas 601, 801 can be at least partially covered in an elastomeric material, such as rubber, silicone or the like. The elastomeric material can additionally be provided with projections or a stamped surface to further improve the grip.
[023] Cable 1, as shown, for example, in Figure 2, is formed as a set of several pieces. The cable 1 comprises an upper part 6 and a lower part 8. Preferably, the upper part 6 and the lower part 8 both form a carcass-like structure, with an inner surface and an outer surface. The upper part 6 and the lower part 8 of the cable 1 are assembled together; preferably, an internal space is formed between the upper part 6 and the lower part 8.
[024] In order to facilitate the assembly and retain the upper part 6 and the lower part 8 together, both the upper part 6 and the lower part 8 are preferably provided with retaining means. The retaining means can be provided as means using, for example, pressure fitting, pressure fitting, magnetic force, adhesives, ultrasonic welding or any other suitable holding force. The upper part 6 and the lower part 8 of the cable 1 are attached to each other in at least one point. Preferably, there are a plurality of points that hold the cable parts 1 together. Providing a plurality of such points reinforces the cable 1.
[025] In the example shown in the Figures (see Figures 3A to 3F for details), the retaining means comprise two pairs of hooks and receptacles 611, 806, 612, 805; however, another number of such pairs can be employed. Figures 3B and 3C show an example of the hooks 611, 612 that are adapted to fit by pressure to the receptacles 806, 805. By assembling the cable 1, the hooks 611, 612 engage with the respective receptacles 806, 805. Preferably, a pair of hooks 611 and corresponding receptacles 806 are positioned adjacent to the front portions 6A, 8A of the cable 1. Another pair of hooks 612 and corresponding receptacles 805 can be positioned adjacent to the opposite end 6B, 8B of the cable 1. In this way, the upper and lower parts 6, 8 of cable 1 are retained together; the holding forces are distributed evenly enough.
[026] The cable 1 may additionally comprise retaining means. The additional retention means can be positioned on at least one end of the cable 1. Preferably, the additional retention means are positioned on or adjacent to both ends of the cable 1.
[027] As an example, the rear portion 6B of the upper part 6 of the cable 1 may be provided with upper snap-fit means 616. The rear portion 8B of the lower part of the cable 1 may be provided with lower snap-fit means 807. The example is shown in Figures 3E and 3F.
[028] The upper press-fit means 616 may comprise a wall 617. The wall 617 projects from the upper part 6 of the cable 1. The wall 617 preferably further comprises a pin 617A. The pin 617A is preferably formed as a lateral protrusion positioned in the middle of the wall 617. The pin 617A can be substantially circular. It can also take any other suitable format.
[029] The lower pressure fitting means 807 are compatible with the upper pressure fitting means 616; the lower pressure engaging means are adapted to accommodate and retain the pin 617A so that the pin 617A does not move undesirably. The lower snap-fit means 807 can, for example, comprise a plurality of projections 808, 809. The projections 808, 809 extend upwardly from the bottom 8 of the cable 1. The projections are arranged so as to allow the pin 617A is pressed into place between them. In the definition shown in the Figures, the protrusion 808 is formed as a platform. The protrusion 809 has two pieces, with a centered gap 809A, into which the pin 617A can be easily fitted. The pin 617A is then prevented from further movement, such as twisting, turning or sliding. This, in turn, helps to stabilize the connection of the rear portions 6B, 8B of cable 1.
[030] With the pressure snapping means 616, 807 described above, it is more difficult to disassemble the cable 1 from its rear end and, thus, the resilience of the cable 1 is enhanced.
[031] Preferably, the front portion 6A, 8A of the cable 1 is also provided with additional retaining means. They can, for example, take the form of a hook 802 and a compatible hook-type receptacle 607. The hook 802 and the hook-type receptacle 607 are oriented to fit together, as can be seen in Figure 3D.
[032] The front portion 8A of the bottom 8 of the cable 1 protrudes, preferably, from the bottom 8 of the cable 1 towards the top 6 of the cable 1. The front portion 8A of the bottom 8 of the cable 1 ends at the hook 802. The upper face 803 of the hook 802 is preferably rough, that is, provided with an increased friction pattern. In the example shown in the Figures (see, for example, Figure 3D), the upper face 803 of hook 802 assumes the shape of small triangles. However, other models of increased friction can be used. The friction increase model provided on the upper face 803 of the hook 802 serves to facilitate demoulding. It can also additionally prevent the cable 1 from being disassembled.
[033] Right behind hook 802, a contiguous member 804 is preferentially positioned. Contiguous member 804 prevents flexible hooks 307 from button 3 (to be described later) from being approached. Contiguous member 804 thus helps to prevent disengagement of button 3 and disassembly of cable 1, when cable 1 is dropped or exposed to impact.
[034] The length of the contiguous member 804 can be similar to the length of a slit 609 that is provided in the upper part 6 of the cable 1 (described below). The contiguous member 804 can extend along the total length of the slot 609. The contiguous member 804 can also extend along only part of the length of the slot 609, for example, over about half the length of the slot 609, or along about three-quarters of the length of the slot 609. In such a case, a stop projection 608 (will be described later) can be provided on the protrusion 609 to further prevent the button 3 from disengaging.
[035] In one embodiment, contiguous member 804 can be further adapted to accommodate and guide the orientation projection 42 provided on the plunger 4. Contiguous member 804 can be used to help guide the plunger 4. Contiguous member 804 can be configured to be used, in particular, in a situation when the plunger 4 is displaced and there is a risk of disassembling the plunger 4, the button 3 and the cable 1. In such a situation, the contiguous member 804 provides the necessary support for the plunger 4, prevents it from being displaced further and thereby helps to prevent damage to cable 1. Preferably, the upper face 803 of the hook 802 further improves this function.
[036] The cable 1 can optionally be provided with an insert 7. The insert 7 is preferably inserted between the upper part 6 and the lower part 8 of the cable 1; preferably, the insert 7 is positioned substantially in the middle of the cable 1, between the front portion 6A, 8A and the rear portion 6B, 8B of the cable 1.
[037] Insert 7 is formed, preferably as a solid body. Insert 7 can be formed like a cylinder, as shown in Figure 2. It can take any other suitable shape such as a prism or the like. The body can be produced, for example, from metal. It can also be produced from plastic, wood or any other suitable material. When insert 7 is provided, it can serve to provide additional weight to handle 1, thereby improving control during shaving or epilation and improving the user experience. It can serve to reinforce the cable 1 and to prevent excessive deformation of the cable 1. This, in turn, helps to prevent the cable 1 from being disassembled.
[038] As shown in Figure 2, the insert 7 can be positioned between the insert supports 614, 615, provided in the upper part 6 of the cable 1. The supports 614, 615 protrude downwards from the inner surface of the upper part 6 of the cable 1. Preferably, each of the supports 614, 615 makes contact with at least one base side of the insert 7. In this way, the supports 614, 615 help to prevent the unwanted back and forth movement of the insert 7 in the cable 1. They can also serve as an additional reinforcement of cable 1, thereby improving its resilience. The insert 7 is further supported by insert supports 811, provided on the inner surface of the lower part 8 of the cable 1; an example of the insert supports is illustrated in Figure 3C. When the cable 1 is assembled, the insert 7 is positioned so that it rests on the insert supports 811. The supports 811 are shaped to provide a support for the insert 7 and to prevent its lateral movement. The example shown in Figure 3C shows the insert supports 811 in the form of small cross-shaped and / or star-shaped crossbars that project upwardly from the inner surface of the bottom 8 of the cable 1. These supports 811 they can also serve to further reinforce the cable.
[039] As shown in Figure 3B, the upper part 6 of the cable 1 can be provided with similar insert supports 613.
[040] The front portion 6A of the upper part 6 of the cable 1 comprises a locking and releasing mechanism that is adapted to hold the cartridge 2 in place and to release the cartridge 2 when the cartridge 2 needs to be replaced. The front portion 6A of the upper part 6 of the cable 1 (an example is illustrated in Figures 5A, 5B) is further adapted to cooperate with the button 3. The button 3 is adapted to facilitate the removal of the cartridge 2 when the cartridge 2 needs be replaced. Removing cartridge 2 is described in detail below.
[041] The front portion 6A of the upper part 6 of the cable 1 is formed as a flexible fork; the fork detail can be seen in Figures 5A (top view) and 5B (bottom view). The fork comprises two arms 602. Each fork arm 602 terminates in a housing bearing 602A. Housing bearings 602A cooperate with corresponding features provided in cartridge 2 to ensure that cartridge 2 can be pivoted. When the cartridge 2 is to be released, the arms 602 are flexed to be brought together. The cartridge 2 can thus be disengaged from the housing bearings 602A and removed / replaced.
[042] Figure 5A shows that each of the arms 602 comprises a receptacle 603. The receptacle 603 is provided on the upper surface of each respective arm 602. The receptacle 603 can be non-linear in shape. For example, receptacle 603 can be substantially bean shaped. The receptacles 603 are adapted to receive pins 306 provided in the button 3. The receptacles 603 and pins 306 cooperate to bring the arms 602 closer together and to release the cartridge 2 (will be described later).
[043] Arms 602 are connected to cable 1 via a flexible portion 604A. The flexible portion 604A allows the arms 602 to be brought together. In the example given in Figure 5A, the greater flexibility of the flexible portion 604A is achieved by narrowing the respective portion of the arm 602 adjacent to the handle area 601 of the cable 1.
[044] A 605 platform is positioned between the 602 arms. The 605 platform serves multiple purposes. It provides support for the plunger 4. Additionally, it locks button 3 in position and helps prevent disengagement of button 3. Cooperation with button 3 will be described later.
[045] Platform 605 (an example is shown in Figures 3D, 5A and 5B) preferably takes on the general shape of a prism. Preferably, the walls of the platform 605 which are adjacent to the arms 602 (side walls of the platform 605) are parallel to the longitudinal geometric axis of the appliance for shaving or shaving.
[046] Platform 605 comprises an upper wall, the upper wall being oriented towards button 3. The upper wall of platform 605 comprises a rail 606. Rail 606 is adapted to receive one of the projections 42 provided in the plunger 4. Rail 606 then helps guide plunger 4 to reciprocate in a linear fashion, reducing the risk of plunger 4 being displaced or misdirected in the wrong direction. Therefore, a risk of damage to the plunger 4 is reduced and the function of the cartridge 2 which returns to its resting position is improved.
[047] The arms 602 and the platform 605 are separated from each other by non-linear slots 604. The non-linear slots 604 are provided between the platform 605 and each respective arm 602. Each of the non-linear slits 604 comprises a portion that defines a linear part 610. The linear part 610 is adapted to cooperate with the button 3, namely with positioners 305 provided on the front of the button 3. The cooperation of these features will be described below.
[048] A slot 609 is formed between the handle area 601 of the upper part 6 of the cable 1 and the platform 605. The slot 609 has a substantially rectangular shape. Slit 609 preferably extends along the upper part 6A of the cable 1, thereby forming an opening through the upper part 6 of the cable 1. This is shown in Figures 5A and 5B.
[049] Slit 609 can be lengthened in one direction; preferably, this direction is parallel to the longitudinal geometric axis of the appliance for shaving or shaving. Preferably, the walls of the slot 609 parallel to the longitudinal geometric axis of the appliance for shaving or shaving (side walls of the slot 609) are parallel to each other and also to the side walls of the platform 605. The side walls of the slot 609 can be provided substantially in a line with the side walls of platform 605. Preferably, the side walls form two longitudinal edges that form a pair of opposite rails. Preferably, the rails are adapted to receive flexible hooks 307 from button 3 (will be described later).
[050] The wall of the slot 609 which is adjacent to the grip area 601 can comprise a stop projection 608. The stop projection 608 projects into the interior of the slot 609. Preferably, the upper wall of the stop projection 608 is aligned with the upper wall of platform 605. Thus, the stop projection 608 does not interfere with the possible movements of the plunger 4. The stop projection 608 prevents flexible hooks 307 of button 3 (will be described later) from being approached or, in one embodiment alternative, further distanced. The stop projection 608 thus helps to prevent disengagement of button 3 and disassembly of cable 1, when cable 1 is dropped or exposed to impact.
[051] At the end adjacent to platform 605, the wall of the slot 609 is provided with a hook-type receptacle 607. Details of the cross-section of the hook-type receptacle 607 can be seen in Figure 3D. The hook-type receptacle 607 is adapted to receive the hook 802, provided in the front portion 8A of the bottom 8 of the cable 1 (described above).
[052] The front portion 6A of the upper part 6 of cable 1 is adapted to receive a release button 3. An example of such a button 3 is also shown in Figures 4A to 4D. The button 3 is formed, preferably, as a body with a projection part 303. The projection part 303 projects upwards, in the opposite direction to the cable 1. The projection part is adapted so that the user engages the projection part 303 with your finger; button 3 must then be pressed. For this purpose, the projection part 303 can be provided with a finger rest portion 304. The finger rest portion 304 is preferably positioned so as to allow easy pressing of button 3 and to move it forward, towards cartridge 2. The finger rest portion 304 can be substantially concave, as seen in Figures 4A to 4D. The finger rest portion 304 may be provided with ribs, dowels or other projections to improve the grip. Preferably, the finger rest portion 304 is covered in suitable elastomeric material, such as rubber, silicone or the like.
[053] The button 3 comprises an impulse face 301. The impulse face 301 is oriented towards the cartridge 2. When the cartridge 2 is to be removed, the button 3 is pressed and thus moves forward, in towards the cartridge 2. In such a situation, the thrust face 301 engages the cartridge 2 and pushes the cartridge 2 in the opposite direction from the cable 1. In this way, the cartridge 2 can be removed without the user having to touch the cartridge 2.
[054] The lower portion of button 3 can be seen in Figures 4A to 4D. It comprises a pair of latches 305. Latches 305 project downward from button 3, in a direction from the front portion 6A of the top 6 of cable 1. Latches 305 are preferably positioned adjacent to the thrust face 301 of button 3. The 305 locks are positioned symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal geometric axis of the appliance for shaving or shaving. Preferably, the latches 305 are displaced so as to allow the platform 605 to be positioned between them. This prevents the 305 latches from being accidentally approached and thus damaged or disengaged from the cable 1.
[055] The latches 305, the platform 605 and the push face 301 of the button 3 together form an opening through which the plunger 4 protrudes. Plunger 4 is configured to reciprocate on opening. The plunger 4 comprises a cam follower face 41 which engages the cartridge 2 and ensures that the cartridge 2 is returned to its rest position when pivoted.
[056] Each of the 305 latches is provided in the form of an outwardly oriented hook. When button 3 is in the rest position, the latches 305 engage the linear part 610 of the nonlinear slot 604. The end portions of the latches 305 engage depressions 610A provided for this purpose at the bottom of the arms 602. Therefore, the latches 305 are further prevented from making unwanted movements and / or disengaging from their position.
[057] The lower portion of the button 3 comprises a pair of pins 306. The pins 306 are preferably positioned so as to engage the receptacles 603, provided on the arms 602 of the fork. The receptacles 603 can be in the form of grooves that can be non-straight and can be skewed in a forward and outward manner. Exemplary receptacles 603 are shown in Figure 5A.
[058] Pins 306 provide a means of bringing arms 602 closer together when cartridge 2 is to be disengaged. When button 3 is pressed by the user, button 3 slides forward, toward cartridge 2. Pins 306 move forward in receptacles 603, thereby forcing arms 602 to flex and approach. At the same time, the cartridge 2 is found by the thrust face 301 of the button 3. The housing bearings 602A thus disengage from the corresponding resources in the cartridge 2. At the same time, the cartridge 2 is forced in the opposite direction to the housing 602A by the thrust face 41 of the plunger 4. Therefore, cartridge 2 is removed from cable 1 and can be replaced with a new cartridge 2.
[059] The bottom portion of button 3 preferably further comprises a rail 309 (for an example, see Figures 4B and 4D). The rail 309 extends in a longitudinal direction of the button 3, the rail 309 being parallel to the longitudinal geometric axis of the appliance for shaving or shaving. Preferably, the rail 309 extends over a large part of the length of the button 309. The rail 309 is preferably configured to receive the orientation projection 42 of the plunger 4. In this way, the rail 606 provided on the platform 605 cooperates with the 309 rail provided in button 3 and provides guidance for the plunger 4. The correct function of the plunger 4 is therefore guaranteed. Additionally, rail 309 can serve as a reinforcement for button 3.
[060] The bottom portion of the button 3 further comprises flexible hooks 307. Preferably, there are an even number of flexible hooks 307; in the example in Figures 4A to 4D, there are a pair of flexible hooks 307. Flexible hooks 307 are preferably provided adjacent to the rear portion of button 3. Flexible hooks 307 project downward from button 3 and extend through of the slot 609 provided between the platform 605 and the grip area 601 of the upper part 6 of the cable 1. The flexible hooks 307 assume a general shape of a hook, the curved portion being positioned at the bottom of the flexible hooks 307. Preferably , the hooks that form the bottom of the flexible hooks 307 are oriented outwards (i.e., curved outwards). Thus, the flexible hooks 307 are preferably opposite. In a preferred embodiment, the flexible hooks 307 engage the side walls of the slot 609. The flexible hooks 307 are preferably long enough that the hooks extend below the side walls of the slot 609. Thus, the flexible hooks 307 they engage on the two longitudinal edges that form a pair of opposite tracks as they are formed in the slot 609. The hooks are then retained by the end of the side walls of the slot 609. Preferably, the flexible hooks 307 are snapped onto the tracks . These features prevent button 3 from disengaging easily.
[061] Preferably, there is a free space between the flexible hooks 307. The plunger 4 is positioned so that it can pass through the free space between the flexible hooks 307 and reciprocate there.
[062] The flexible hooks 307 are adapted to be placed through the slot 609 of the front portion 6A of the cable 1. The hooks of the flexible hooks 307 preferentially engage the elongated walls of the slot 609, thus retaining the button 3 on the place.
[063] The dimensions of flexible hooks 307 and slot 609 are defined, preferably, in order to allow flexible hooks 307 to move in slot 609 when button 3 is slid towards cartridge 2. However, flexible hooks 307 preferably, unlimited movement is not allowed, as they are interrupted by the walls of the slot 609 which are perpendicular to the side walls of the slot 609.
[064] In slot 609, stop projection 608 (described above) is provided. The stop projection 608 is arranged to extend between the flexible hooks 307. The stop projection 608 is positioned below the normal position of the plunger 4. The stop projection 608 prevents the flexible hooks 307 from being approached; therefore, the hooks that form the bottom of the flexible hooks 307 cannot easily disengage from the side walls of the slot 609 and the risk of displacement or disengagement of the button 3 is reduced.
[065] In an alternative embodiment, details of which are shown in Figures 7 and 8, the flexible hooks 307 can be oriented inward. The upper part 6 of the cable 1 can be provided with a pair of parallel slots 609A, 609B that form a body between them. The flexible hooks 307 then engage the body between the slots. In order for the flexible hooks 307 to be prevented from disengaging, a pair of stop projections 608A, 608B can be provided, with the stop projections 608A, 608B being positioned on the outside of the flexible hooks 307. In such a situation, the projections of stop 608A, 608B can be positioned both at the top 6 of the cable 1 and at the bottom 8 of the cable, close to the contiguous member 804.
[066] Button 3 is additionally provided with a spiral spring support 308 (an example of such support is given in Figures 4B and 4C). The spiral spring support 308 is positioned opposite the push face 301 of the button 3, on the longitudinal geometric axis of the button 3. The spiral spring support 308 is adapted to support one end of the spiral spring 5. For this purpose, it is provided with a pin-like protuberance 308A, in which the spiral spring 5 is fitted. This pin-like protrusion 308A prevents the spiral spring 5 from being disengaged from the spiral spring support 308 and thereby displaced and / or damaged.
[067] One end of the spiral spring 5 is inserted into the hole 43 provided at the rear of the plunger 4. The opposite end of the spiral spring 5 is supported by the spiral spring holder 308. When a force is applied to the cartridge 2, that is, when the cartridge 2 is pivoted, the plunger 4 is pressed inward and the spiral spring 5 is compressed. When the force is removed, the spiral spring 5 returns to its initial position, thereby compelling the plunger 4 to press the cartridge 2 and return it to its resting position.
[068] Additionally, when the cartridge 2 is to be removed, that is, when the button 3 is pressed and moved forward, the spiral spring support 308 moves the spiral spring 5 together with the plunger 4. The plunger 4 interrupts forward movement when it meets the end of the guide rail 606 of platform 605; the spiral spring 5 is further compressed by moving the button 3 further forward. Subsequently, when the cartridge 2 is disengaged and the button 3 is released, the spiral spring 5 helps to return the button 3 to its original position by through the pressure applied by the spiral spring 5 on the spiral spring support 308.
[069] The contiguous member 804 and the stop projection 608 are preferably positioned so as to provide a possibility of easily fixing the button 3, as well as allowing easy assembly of all parts of the cable 1, that is, the button 3, the plunger 4, the spiral spring 5 and the upper and lower parts 6, 8 of the cable 1.
[070] For this purpose, the contiguous member 804 may be long so as not to extend along the total length of the slot 609. Preferably, the contiguous member 804 extends over approximately half the length of the slot 609. The projection stop 608 preferably also does not extend along the total length of the slot 609. Preferably, the stop projection 608 is at most the same length as the contiguous member 804.
[071] Additionally, the flexible hooks 307 of the button 3 are provided in such a width so as to allow the button 3 to be pressed into the upper part 6 of the cable 1 through the slot 609 without the projection of the stop 608 interfering with the process .
[072] Additionally, the width of the flexible hooks 307 is preferably such that the contiguous member 804 does not interfere with the flexible hooks 307 when the lower part 8 of the cable 1 is mounted on the assembly of the upper part 6 of the cable 1, of the plunger 4 and button 3.
[073] In addition, the width of the flexible hooks 307 and the length of the stop projection 608 and the adjoining member 804 can be set in such a way that when the button 3 is slid forward and the flexible hooks 307 engage with the adjoining member 804 before they lose contact with the stop projection 608. This way, the flexible hooks 307 are in contact with disengagement prevention features at all times. In an alternative embodiment, the contiguous member 804 is long so as to substantially cover the total length of the slot 609. In this embodiment, the stop projection 608 may be missing and the entire contiguous member is positioned at the bottom 6 of the cable 1.
[074] When button 3, plunger 4 and the upper and lower parts 6, 8 of cable 1 are assembled together, the following steps can be performed.
[075] The plunger 4, the spiral spring 5 and the button 3 are mounted. For this purpose, the button 3 is provided with a spiral spring support 308 and the plunger 4 is provided with hole 43. The spiral spring is inserted into the hole 43 of the plunger 4 and engaged with the spiral spring support 308 In an alternative embodiment, the plunger 4 can be omitted and the spiral spring 5 is mounted directly on button 3.
[076] Subsequently, the assembly of the button 3, the plunger 4 and the spiral spring 5 is pressed into the upper part 6 of the cable 1. During this process, the flexible hooks 307 of the button 3 are placed through the slot 609 and press-fit to the rails formed by the side walls of the slot 609. The flexible hooks 307 are preferably placed through the slot 609 in a way that avoids contact with the stop projection 608. The button 3 with the plunger 4 and the spring in spiral 5 are thus introduced into the front portion of the slot 609, i.e., the portion adjacent to the carcass supports 602A.
[077] Subsequently, the spiral spring 5 pushes the button 3 backwards. The flexible hooks 307 of the button 3 therefore engage with the stop projection 608 provided in the rear portion of the slot 609.
[078] After that, the lower part of the cable 8 is fitted into the assembly. Hook 802 is inserted into hook-type receptacle 607. Adjoining member 804 is inserted between flexible hooks 307. Press-fit means 611, 806, 612, 805, as well as press-fit means 616, 807 , are engaged and engaged with each other and cable 1 is assembled.
[079] Of the features described above for shaving or shaving, several features are used to help prevent disengagement of button 3 and / or to help prevent disassembly of the top 6 and bottom 8 of the cable 1.
[080] The upper part 6 of cable 1 is preferably provided with hooks 611, 612. The lower part 8 of cable 1 is preferably provided with receptacles 806, 805. These features are preferably compatible; the hooks 611, 612 are adapted to be snap-fit with the respective receptacles 806, 805. Therefore, the upper part 6 and the lower part 8 of the cable 1 are retained together.
[081] The rear portion 6B of the upper part 6 of the cable 1 may be provided with upper snap-fit means 616. The rear portion 8B of the lower part of the cable 1 may be provided with the lower snap-fit means 807. These features they help to increase the reliability of the top 6 and bottom 8 cable 1 assembly. In particular, with these features it is difficult to dismantle or disassemble cable 1 from its rear portion 6B, 8B. As there is a greater risk that cable 1, when dropped, will hit the ground with the front or rear portion, these features help to prevent the cable 1 from being disassembled.
[082] The front portion 6A, 8A is provided with the cartridge receiving region and with the features that provide the locking of the cartridge 2 and its release when necessary. These features comprise the yoke with the 602A housing bearings, the plunger 4 and the button 3. The button 3 is mounted on the front portion 6A of the top 6 of the cable 1. The button 3 comprises features to accommodate the plunger 4, such as track 309. Button 3 additionally comprises positioners 305 and flexible hooks 307 which are positioned to allow the plunger to reciprocate directly under button 3.
[083] The front portion 6A of the upper part 6 of the cable 1 is provided with the platform 605, with a linear part 610 of the non-linear slot 604, the depressions 610A provided at the bottom of the arms 602, the slot 609 and the projection of stop 608. All of these features cooperate with the corresponding features provided on button 3 to help prevent button 3 from being moved and / or disassembled from its support.
[084] The positioners 305 are adapted to cooperate with the linear part 610 of the non-linear slot 604 which helps to prevent the positioners 305 from being approached and thus disengaged from the depressions 610A provided at the bottom of the arms 602.
[085] The flexible hooks 307 are adapted to cooperate with the slot 609 that locks the flexible hooks 307 and thus holds the button 3 in place. The flexible hooks 307 are further adapted to cooperate with the stop projection 608 which helps to prevent the flexible hooks 307 from being approached and thus disengaged from the side walls of the slot 609. Additionally, the front portion 8A of the bottom 8 the cable 1 is provided with an adjoining member 804 which also helps to prevent the flexible hooks 307 from being approached and / or disengaged from the side walls of the slot 609. At the same time, these features do not obstruct the movement of the button 3 back and forth , thus guaranteeing its function in the removal of the cartridge 2.
[086] The front portion 6A of the upper part 6 of the cable 1 is additionally provided with a hook-type receptacle 607. The front portion 8A of the lower part 8 of the cable 1 is provided with the corresponding hook 802 which can engage with the hook-type receptacle 607 to lock the front portions 6A, 8A of the upper and lower parts 6, 8 of the cable 1 together. This provides an advantageous point at which cable 1 is retained. As there is a greater risk that cable 1, when dropped, will hit the ground with the front or rear portion, these features help to prevent the cable 1 from being disassembled.
[087] The front portion 8A of the bottom 8 of the cable 1 is additionally provided with the rough upper surface 803 of the hook 802 and an adjoining member 804. Both of these features help to prevent displacement of the plunger 4, thereby also helping to prevent damage to the entire locking and releasing mechanism.
[088] With the features described above, cable 1 is not easily disassembled. Cable 1 is reinforced and does not come apart when subjected to an impact (for example, when cable 1 is dropped). It is also not easy to dismantle button 3 and move plunger 4. Subsequently, both plunger 4 and button 3 are less likely to be damaged in such a situation.
[089] With the construction described above, manufacturing costs are kept low. The amount of material that needs to be used to produce the cable is decreased and if the cable 1 needs to be replaced, the amount of plastic that is thrown away is also decreased. Still, due to the sufficient mass of the cable 1, the construction above provides better control of the appliance for shaving or shaving during shaving or epilation and a better user experience.
